Netflix has been busy over the past few years snapping up studios and creators for its Netflix Original lineup. Below, we’ll take a look at every announced overall and first-look deal Netflix has arranged so far.
Netflix’s overall deals still pale in comparison with some industry staples. HBO, CBS, and ABC outnumber Netflix’s overall deals quite dramatically, particularly when it comes to individual talent. With that said, the list below is impressive and covers a whole range of genres.
Here’s all the talent you can expect to see starring and making your Netflix shows over the coming years.
Before we get into the full list, we just want to run through some of the rumors we’re hearing of what creators could be up next for official overall deals. This list currently includes The Kardashians rumored for their next home, Robert Downey Jr. and Ryan Reynolds are both rumored for exclusive deals too. We’re also hearing that Dolly Parton is in similar negotiations. Of course, pinch of salt on all of these until we hear officially.
Netflix Overall Deals with Creators/Studios
Note: ordered by when the deal was struck
Deal signed: UnknownKnown for: Love, Death & Robots, House of Cards, Mindhunter & countless movies.
This is an odd one. Officially, Netflix has never announced an output deal with the famed director and producer David Fincher but in an interview with French outlet Premiere, he revealed he’s working with them on a four-year deal which is why so many of his projects are heading to Netflix.
We heard through the grapevine that Fincher had been reluctant to put any type of deal in writing given his treatment at previous studios but clearly, that’s changed. We don’t know when the four years started nor when it’ll end.

This deal is akin to the very public and controversial Obama deal and perhaps this one is the most controversial deal Netflix has made yet for a number of reasons.
Harry and Meghan will be working on numerous projects in the future but has attracted controversy given the big price tag (valued at $150 million) for a pair of creatives without much experience.
The pair will serve mainly as brand ambassadors for Netflix in our view which will boost Netflix or devalue it depending on your views on the royals.
